The Clerk’s Office accepts the following methods of payment: cash, cashier’s checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and certified funds. We also accept payments from Western Union and Amscot. Payments for court related fines, costs, and fees can be made at our full service counters at the North Brevard Government Center in Titusville, the Merritt Island Service Complex, the Moore Justice Center in Viera, the Melbourne Branch Courthouse, and the Brevard County Service Complex in Palm Bay.
The Clerk’s Office does not accept payments by check for child support. Checks for child support must be mailed to the Florida State Disbursement Unit in Tallahassee. We accept cash, cashier’s check, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and certified funds for child support payments.
When paying by credit card, a convenience fee is assessed based on the amount you are paying. The Clerk’s Office does not receive any part of this fee.
Ways to Pay
In Brevard County, you can make child support payments in three different ways.
Make a child support payment online by visiting paykidz.com.
Make a child support payment in person by visiting any of our office locations.
All child support and alimony payments for Brevard County, Florida, are to be sent to the State of Florida Disbursement Unit (SDU). The SDU will receive your payment and post it to the appropriate account. All payments must have the proper identification to be processed the same day that they are received.
Proper Identification means:
- Full name of the person obligated to make the payment
- Social Security Number of the Obligor
- County Name where your case is recorded
- Support Case Number
- Full name of the person to receive the payment
It is very important you include these items on the front of your check or money order; without this information, payments cannot be processed!

Payees must keep the Clerk’s office informed of their current mailing address, as checks are not forwarded. Also, contact the Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement at +1 (850) 488-KIDS (5437) or call: +1 (800) 622-5437 to report your change of address if your case is handled through that state agency.

Payments made on any case, except Department of Revenue cases, require a 4% Clerk’s fee added to the payment amount, not to exceed $5.25 or less than $1.00.
